Hedgecock Dominates Stout Field In Lake Cumberland's Fall Classic

Forty-three of America's Best Pro Late Models signed into competition on a chilly fall day at Lake Cumberland Speedway to battle it out for $10,000! One of the best fields of cars top to bottom we've ever seen were on hand to chase the big money!

The field was split into two groups for BHR Fabrication Qualifying. The fastest time overall went to Cory Hedgecock in Group A turning a time of 13.905. Logan Roberson would go second in the group with a time of 13.969 and Trent Green turned a time of 14.094 taking the third spot in the group. BHR Fabrication Qualifying Group B went to Zach Sise with a 14.017 while Trevor Sise went second with a 14.035 and Matt Henderson took third in the group at a 14.104.

Dirt2Media Heat One would be won by Cory Hedgecock over Trent Green and Logan Walls. Outside Groove Heat Two went to Logan Roberson over Baillie Lowe and Jordan Hedger. FMS Rapid Graphix Heat Three went to Zach Sise over Matt Henderson and Ross White. Trevor Sise would take the victory in PPM Racing Products Heat Four over Dustin Linville and Hayden Cardwell. ATC Bolts and Fasteners B-Main One would see Tommy Bailey and Justin Ratliff transfer into the show while ATC Bolts and Fasteners B-Main Two transferred Steve Peeden and Cameron Weaver into the event. Provisionals on the night went to Josh Vinyard, Jeff Watson, and AJ Hicks.

The Fall Classic started with a long thirty-two lap green flag run. Cory Hedgecock was out to a huge lead and got into lapped traffic which did allow Roberson to close some, but every time he'd get close, Hedgecock would lap a couple more cars and pull back away. Great racing was taking place through the field. A caution would finally fly on lap thirty-two and the field would reset. A few more green flag runs would resume with Hedgecock and Roberson in pursuit. Hedgecock seemed to wait until Roberson would get close before putting more cars a lap down. A flawless race led to Hedgecock's $10,000 victory! Logan Roberson would take second with Zach Sise finishing in third. Dustin Linville and Hayden Cardwell would round out the top five. Indian's Steve Peeden charged to a sixth place finish from the B-main and Trevor Sise took seventh. Justin Smith, Jeff Watson, and Logan Walls would round out the top ten.
