Zach Sise Continues Winning Ways at Lake Cumberland Speedway

After another track canceled Brandon Hardgrove gladly stepped up and kept a race on the schedule for the series as Lake Cumberland Speedway! As always the track was racy and the competition was hot as twenty of America's Best Pro Late Models were showcased in the All-Star Summer Showcase.

Zach Sise picked up in BHR Fabrication Qualifying where he left off in the last event setting fast time with a 13.505. Josh Dietz was just a hundredth slower in second with a time of 13.515 while big brother Trevor Sise went third at a 13.554. Baily Cardwell continues to get faster in his new car turning a time of 13.561 which was good enough for fourth while Jordan Hedger went fifth at a 13.613.

Zach Sise continued his dominance winning the Race Track Connection Dash with Trevor Sise getting by Dietz to finish second and Dietz held on for third. Outside Groove Heat One went to Sylvan Schuette over Blake Brown in his AAS debut while points leader Jesse Lowe took third. Outside Groove Heat Two was won by AAS Weekend Warrior Roman Wesley over Logan Walls and William Blankenship.

The field was now set for the All-Star Summer Showcase with Zach Sise on the point and leading them to the green. Sise jumped out to the early lead being trailed by brother Trevor Sise. Dietz and Hedger also battled it out in the top five. A long green flag run put Zach in lapped traffic in the first half of the race giving Trevor a chance to close in before a caution flew for debris on the track. Green flag racing continued with Zach out front and Trevor in pursuit. This time as they came back to lapped traffic Bryant Woodcock got a little loose as Zach was passing him and bounced off his passenger side and into the wall hard leaving Trevor nowhere to go as he plowed into the accident ending a great night. Green flag racing resumed and Zach Sise would go on to lead all the laps and continue his LCS domination as he works toward becoming the king of the speedway! Josh Dietz would pilot the #9 home in second coming within two points of taking back the points lead from Jesse Lowe with Jordan Hedger taking third. A hard charging Jesse Lowe went to fourth after starting eleventh to maintain his points lead while Sylvan Schuette took fifth. Baily Cardwell had a flat during the long caution but charged back to finish sxith while Jeremy Strunk fought and clawed all night for a seventh place finish. Logan Walls, William Blankenship, and Steve Stollings would round out the top ten.

The AAS would like to thank Brandon and Jessica for always being great host! We'd also like to thank all the drivers, teams, and fans for coming out for the event!
