Sise and McCarter Win a Pair of Thrillers in the Volunteer State

A barn burner of a weekend set off on Friday night at the newly reopened Golden Mountain Speedway and Off-Road Park in Sparta, TN! We were the first series event at the track since it reopened, and the racing did not disappoint! Twenty-four of America's Best Pro Late Models signed in to do battle in the Hot and Ready 40!

Trevor Sise would grab the Double J Farms fast time in My Race Pass Hot Laps with a time of 15.719 over brother Zach Sise, Brandon Umberger, Tyler Price, and Jason Cardwell.

BHR Fabrication Qualifying went to William Blankenship with a time of 14.863. Trevor Sise remained fast in hot laps going second quick with a time of 14.962 while brother Zach Sise stayed hot on his heels turning a time of 15.008. Tyler Arrington went fourth quick with a time of 15.098 while Brandon Umberger rounded out the top five at a 15.128.

In the O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat One Tyler Arrington beat the Pole-Sitter William Blankenship to the win, while Blankenship finished in second, Keaton Smith kept his third place from the start to the finish.
Outside Groove Heat 2 would see Brandon Umberger crossing the finishline first after beating Trevor Sise and Jason Cardwell to places 2 and 3.
The PPM Racing Products Heat 3 was dominated by Zach Sise. Second Place Jon Ellison and third placed Tyler Price couldn't catch Sise.

Then a hard raced 40 Lap Feature awaited us, but before the Hot and Ready 40 started, we already had AAS Rookie Shane Greco out, as he was unable to start. Many Overtakes and cautions made this a real shocker as many drivers from the back charged to the front. A dominant Zach Sise used his 3rd Place start as a good foundation, drove calm and composed and stayed out of trouble to collect his first AAS victory of the season in a wild race at the Golden Mountain Speedway! Places 2-5 were harder fought over. The highest up on the starting grid of our Top 5 was Keaton Smith, who started in 7th and finished in 3rd, while Bradley Lewelling finished in second after starting 10th!

For the second half of our race weekend, the AAS headed to Bulls Gap and their Volunteer Speedway! 25 Cars joined our Show there,

Tyler Arrington had another good time at the MyRacePass Hot Laps. He finished in first and grabbed the Double J Farm fast time with a 13.282. Baily Cardwell finished second just in front of Brandon Umberger in third, Jack Brown in fourth and Chris Chandler in fifth.

BHR Fabrication Qualifying saw Baily Cardwell continuing to be fast as he snagged the pole from Ross White with a 13.280, just 0.018 seconds in front of White (13.298)! Brandon Williams finished 3rd with a 13.313 while Tyler Arrington settled for fourth with a 13.335 and Jack Brown in fifth with a 13.371.

We saw a repeat of events from the day before in O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat 1. Tyler Arrington started second and finished first, again! Second this time was Baily Cardwell, while Addison Cardwell finished third. Outside Groove Heat 2 was dominated by its Pole Sitter, Ross White. He started first and won by 3 seconds! Behind him Kennie Compton beat Mack McCarter to second, McCarter had to settle for third. The PPM Racing Products Heat 3 saw the starting 3, finishing in the same order as started. Brandon Williams first, Brandon Umberger second and Ryan Smith third.

Now it was time for the Stars and Sprints 40. Although 5 Cars could not start this Feature, we still got to see amazing battles and very good racing. Tight racing and a nice battle for the lead made this a great watch for everyone at the track or on DirtRichTV. AT the end we saw another new winner this season, as Mack McCarter beat Pole Sitter Tyler Arrington and everyone else to snatch his first win of the season! Arrington finished in second and Brandon Umberger third.

What an amazing Weekend of AAS Racing! Every Feature now saw a diffrent winner to this point. We can certainly hope this season will continue to be this tight and exceiting!
