Arrington Wins spectacular Race at the Natural Bridge
Another AAS Weekend is in the Books! This time around it took us to our friends at Natural Bridge Speedway, VA, for the Mayhem in the Mountains 50. We saw eye-catching Racing all night, and the feature honored its name, by bringing late Mayhem. 35 Cars were all in the mix for the big win, as well as our Junior Division with 7 Minis going for it!
In MyRacePass Hot Laps Preston Blalock snagged the Double J Farms Hot Lap Fast Time Award, with a time of 16.166! The top 3 would be rounded out with Joe Leavell, 16.265, and Justin Williams, 16.375.
Logan Roberson would end up with the Fast Time in BHR Qualifying, a 16.606 being enough for the Top Spot here. Tyler Arrington and Corey Almond closely behind with their 16.632 and 16.660 respectively.
The Fastest Lap in Double Nickle Qualifying belonged to Justin Williams. His 16.664 being good enough to push David Watts, 16.704, and Ronnie Martin Jr., 16.833, to second and third.
Fast Time Qualifier Logan Roberson would take home the win in the O'Reilly Heat 1 as he secured his place on the front-row inside. Places two to fourth go to Corey Almond, Ryan Smith and Braeson Fulton.
The Outside Groove would be dominated by Points Leader Tyler Arrington. His performance would leave Tyler Bare and Kendal Tucker no other option than to settle for second and third. Still advancing in fourth would be Preston Blalock.
Another Impressive drive from pole would bring Justin Williams the win in PPM Racing Products Heat 3. Ronnie Martin Jr. would come in second, while Ryan Adams finishes third and Bryce Smith fourth.
Great racing continued in American Racer Heat 4! Starting from second, Jack Brown got the Win, Infront of David Watts, Joe Leavell and Dalton Jacobs.
The DirtRichTV B Main 1 would be a clear case. Walker Arthur in first and John Ruggiero Jr in second would be comfortably advancing to the big feature.
Tyler Hoy dominated Gasko B Main 2 and wins in front of Shawn Walker in second, both too advancing to the feature.
After all the places for our feature were awarded, it was time for our Junior Division presented by VP Racing Fuels! 7 Mini Wedges were at NBS and going for it.
In their Heat 1, Addison Rhodes was victorious and took the pole. She went from third to first and put Stephen Lusher and Joel Ramsey to second and third while Colton Lilly finished fourth.
Brodie Harrison won in Heat 2. Behind him Aeyla Jarvis finished in second, while Corbin Kincaid did in third.
The Feature was the "Rhodes Show". Addison Rhodes won comfortably and secured her start-to-finish Victory! In second came Joel Ramsey and Stephen Lusher, after breaking down on the final lap, finished third.
Now it was finally time for the Mayhem at the Mountains 50! It was a thrilling race, with close racing all along. But in Lap 40 the temporary Leaders, Logan Roberson and Justin Williams, came together while going through lapped traffic. This crash set the win up for the taking. And who else but Points Leader Tyler Arrington would be there to scup up the win at Natural Bridge Speedway! Second and third places finishers would end up being Tyler Bare and Corey Almond. The Rest of the Top ten would be as follows: Ronnie Martin Jr., Joe Leavell, David Watts, Ryan Adams, John Ruggiero Jr., Ryan Smith and Walker Arthur.
