Cardwell charges to the front at the Creek!

The time has come for the Crate Week at the Creek at the wonderful Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia. A full field showed up to our bonus Race on our only trip to Georgia, to battle it out for $4,000 to win.

As always, we started with the MyRacePass Hot laps. Times were close all over the field but Seth Wimpey took the Winchester Speed Hot Lap Quick Time with a time of 16.201. Junior Whiteners 16.216 was close but only good enough for second, while Hayden Cardwell came in third with his 16.283. The top five were rounded out by Zach Sise in fourth and Jordy Nipper in fifth, their times a 16.334 and 16.439.

In BHR Qualifying it was Zach Sise that got the BHR Quick Time with an outstanding 16.045. In second it was Junior Whitener again, his time in qualifying a 16.141. Just a margin slower was Jordy Nipper in third with his time being a 16.141 too. Jason Deal came in fourth with a 16.167 and Hot Lap Quick Time winner Seth Wimpey in fifth, his time a 16.173.

The Pole and the Win in O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat 1 went to Zach Sise, who dominated this race. Hayden Cardwell came in second, while Jason Deal finished third. Baillie Lowe and Sylvan Schuette came in fourth and fifth. Sixth was John Ellison, TJ Steele seventh and Kenny Hall eighth.

Outside Groove Heat 2 was then won by Seth Wimpey, who overtook Junior Whitener to take the win, Whitener then settled for second. Trevor Sise beat Tyler Arrington to third, both too fast for the charging Alden Morgan that came in fifth. Sixth was Cade Brookshire and seventh Joe Picklesimer. Phillip Ramirez did not finish after a hard hit coming out of turn two. The driver is ok but was unable to start in the feature.

PPM Racing Products Heat 3 saw Jordy Nipper dominated the field with an 4 second advantage to second place Joshua Chesney. Ryan Smith battled his way up to third, while Mathew Porter came in fourth. Kasey Hall finished fifth, Sam Green sixth and Brycen Flemming seventh.

With that our starting positions have been set and it was time for the 40 Lap Feature Race!
As the leaders took the first green it was obvious Zach Sise was too fast for everybody else. He drove out front, creating a big gap to the drivers battling for second. The driver that would come on top of that battle would inherit the lead after Zach Sise had heartbreak happen to him around halfway through the race. This battle was won by former series champion Hayden Cardwell, which went on to win the race comfortably after Zach Sises exit.
The rest of the field was always closely together behind the leader, which made for some amazing racing. Jordy Nipper ended up finishing second to Cardwell, while Jason Deal finished in third. Joshua Chesney would cross the line in fourth while Kasey Hall came in fifth from starting fifteenth, which made him the Hyperco Hard Charger of the night. The second half of the top ten was as follows: Alden Morgan, Trevor Sise, Sylvan Schuette, Tyler Arrington and Sam Green.
