Willaim Blankenship wins in nail-biting fashion at Mountain View Raceway!
After a few weeks of the AAS is back, this time it took us to Mountain View Raceway in Tennessee. Our first race here since a few years ago.
Our Night started with MyRacePass Hot Laps. Points Leader Tyler Arrington would be quickest with a 11.436. He was followed by his closest competitor all season in Trevor Sise, his time a 11.532. William Blankenship would be third, 11.638, and Chris Wilson, 11.664, fourth. The Top five would be rounded out by Addison Cardwell with a 11.678.
In BHR Qualifying Trevor Sise set the Quick Time. A 11.446 gets him the Pole for Heat 1. In second was Chris Wilson, 11.547, and in third was Sylvan Schuette, 11.566. Tyler Arrington finished fourth with an 11.586 and in fifth was Willaim Blankenship with a 11.649.
In O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat 1, Trevor Sise kept everyone behind him and secured the Inside Pole for the Feature. Second finished Davin Cardwell while Tyler Arrington had to settle for third. Fourth finished Mathew Porter and fifth Alden Morgan.
Chris Wilson would take care of business in Outside Groove Heat 2 and finish first. William Blankenship tried but couldn't get passed him and finished second, while Joshua Chesney finished third. Jesse Bodin finished in fourth and Joe Picklesimer in fifth.
PPM Racing Products Heat 3 would see Addison Cardwell charge to the top and finish first. Ryan Smith finished second, while Preston Dimsdale finished third. Sylvan Schuette had to settle to fourth while Kevin Hale came in fifth.
With that it was time for the Dave Bilbrey Memorial Race. 44 Laps to determine a winner on a track that seemed to get faster over the night. After a few early cautions we had a long green phase that went on for the biggest part of the race with Trevor Sise leading all the laps. But a caution with about 15 to go, made the race open. Everyone could have won and drivers were passing each other everywhere. William Blankenship was then the one that crossed the finish line first and wins the Dave Bilbrey Memorial! Tyler Arrington followed him through the field but couldn't pass him and finish second while Trevor Sise ended up finishing third. Addison Cardwell finished in fourth and Joshua Chesney charged to fifth. The second half of the top ten is as follows: Alden Morgan, Ryan Smith, Chris Wilson, Jesse Bodin and Preston Dimsdale.
