Arrington Dominates Isom, Chilton Makes Makes A Sweet Move to Victory
The season finally kicked off on Friday night, April 18th at Mountain Motor Speedway for the AAS! The Spring Breaker was the first even tabbed for the 2025 season! Seventeen cars signed in to do battle in the mountains of Kentucky.
My Race Pass Hot laps would be won by Tyler Arrington with a 13.998 picking up the Winchester Speed Bonus! Brandon Fouts, Ryan Smith, Garet McCloud and Trevor Sise would round out the rest of the top five.
BHR Fabrication Qualifying would also go to Tyler Arrington with a time of 14.286. AJ Hicks in the Raymond Nichols ride went second quick at a 14.300 and Oscar McCown was third overall at a 14.317. Ryan Smith was fast all night clocking in fourth fastest at a 14.369 and Brandon Fouts would round out the top five at a 14.388.
O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat One would see Arrington run away and hide with Ryan Smith finishing second and Shane Greco taking third. Outside Groove Heat Two would go to AJ Hicks over Brandon Fouts and Joshua Chesney. PPM Racing Products Heat Three would be won by Oscar McCown over Logan Walls and Steve Stollings.
With the 40 lap feature field set the battle would be on. Tyler Arrington looked like he was out on a Sunday drive. Smoking the competition around the track. The battle would be for positions 2-7. May spots were changing hands throughout the event with comers and goers. At the checker flag Tyler Arrington would cross the line two seconds ahead. Oscar McCown would take second with Brandon Fouts in third. AAS Rookie Shane Greco grabbed fourth while AJ Hicks rounded out the top five. Logan Walls ran to a strong sixth place finish with Joshua Chesney crossing the line seventh. Hyperco Hard Charger Darren Slone took 8th with Garet McCloud and Trevor Sise rounding out the top ten.
The second night of the Easter Weekend races took us to the Spring Bluegrass Brawl 40 at Lake Cumberland Speedway. Twenty of America's best pro late models signed in to do battle.
My Race Pass Hot Laps went to the King of Cumberland himself Zach Sise with a time of 13.728 picking up the Winchester Speed bonus. Shane Greco, Tyler Arrington, Michael Chilton, and Roman Wesley would round out the top five in hot laps.
BHR Fabrication Qualifying would once again go to Tyler Arrington with at time of 13.654. Trevor Sise was just behind in second at a 13.676 and Roman Wesley was third fastest with a 13.684. Jordan Wesley went fourth quick at a 13.686 while Michael Chilton took the fifth quick time of the night at a 13.920.

The feature was set, was Arrington on track for another dominating night? It appeared to be that way as he set the pace early, moving away from the field, but then lapped traffic go caught and it tightened the top six under a blanket. Coming off of turn for to lap seventeen the leaders were three wide with Arrington, Chilton, and Trevor Sise. Chilton came out with the lead and never looked back. In his first AAS start Michael Chilton would claim the $3,000 prize! Tyler Arrington would run to a strong second with Roman Wesley coming on hot at the end and taking third. Trevor Sise would take fourth while Tim Dameron had an impressive fifth place finish. Jordan Wesley and Shane Greco would take sixth and seventh. Steve Stollings, Jason Cardwell, and Ryan Smith would round out the top five.
